Biography

Jie Mei is researcher at Deepkapha.ai and a third year doctoral student in medical neuroscience at Charité – Universtätsmedizin Berlin. Before moving to Germany, Jie received a research master in cognitive science from École normale supérieure, France (2015). Prior to her PhD, Jie has worked at Karolinska Institute, CNRS, SISSA and University of Trieste in the area of neuroscience, with a focus on brain computer interface and computational modeling of the cortico-striatal-thalamic circuitry. Currently, Jie is applying machine learning methods to improve the quality of medical data analysis and trying to understand how neuroscience research could lead to better deep learning models.
